FAQs
Q: Is my anxiety really a problem?
A: If you are asking yourself this question, there is a good chance that your anxiety is negatively impacting you. We do need a certain level of anxiety to help us survive, but once anxiety escalates and negatively impacts our happiness, relationships, work, etc, it is no longer productive.
Q: How long do I have to be in therapy?
A: Each person is different, so length of therapy can differ. However, therapy is not forever and will have an end. Expect about 6 months, depending on what you are experiencing.
Q: I’ve been in therapy before. How do I know this will work for me?
A: There are some reasons why therapy does not seem to work for people. Reasons include the wrong approach, you and the therapist not being a good fit, or not being ready for therapy. If you feel ready to work through your anxiety and are willing to be open-minded and honest, therapy is likely to help you this time.
